(FILES) The construction site of Stegra's green-steel plant is pictured on June 10, 2025, in Boden, Northern Sweden. The Swedish Energy Agency said on November 26, 2025 it was giving some USD 40 million in support to low-carbon steelmaker Stegra, amid fears surrounding the ambitious startup's finances. Stegra is building a new steel mill it says will produce steel using technology that gives off 95 percent less CO2 emissions than traditional methods. Approximately 60 percent of the work has been completed. In October, Stegra announced another round of financing to bring in an additional 10 billion kronor (USD 1 billion) to cover higher project costs. This undated picture released by Institute of Human Origins at Arizona State University shows the Burtele foot, which had been a mystery since being discovered in Afar Region in Ethiopia, in 2009, with its elements in the anatomical position. Newly discovered fossils, including a jawbone with 12 teeth, prove that a mysterious foot found in Ethiopia in 2009 belongs to a little-known, recently named ancient human relative who lived alongside the species of the famous Lucy, scientists said on November 26, 2025.
