Point Reyes Farmstead has embraced new technology and artificial intelligence through various Lely system including Lely brushes and milking robots which allows cows to choose when they are milked by entering into a stall where AI assess each cow before a robotic arm cleans, stimulates and milks her udder. About 500 cows at Point Reyes Farmstead produce roughly 11 gallons of milk per cow each day through multiple voluntary milking sessions with the Lely Astronaut.
