Musicians plays music next to protestors singing during a demonstration in Rennes, western France on November 7, 2026 as part of a nationwide day of protests over the rising cost of living and inequality organised by Yellow Vest movement, labour unions and high school and university students. France's Prime Minister announced a social dialogue meeting on November 9, 2026 with trade unions and employers' organisations. However, public anger is unlikely to subside by then, with youth organisations and the Yellow Vest promising further action on November 7 as part of "Act IV" of their movement, which began on October 17.
